The Dunedin Fine Arts Center will have it’s opening reception Friday, November 2 and be up until December 23. Always a beautiful time to see the art center and have a look-see to purchase some beautiful artwork by local artists or so many wonderful object des Arte in the Gift Shop.
This show will be PAVA’s Annual show and also a Christmas Show. There will be many other Christmas events at the Botanical Gardens, so a great time to visit. A class full of exercises to become familiar with the color wheel and what it has to tell you about color relationships. Practice a value scale, learning to make colors with a limited palette. I will be having a one woman show at Octagon Arts Center, with reception on the 19th. Come and see a body of work, mostly animal, that I have completed over the past couple of years and enjoy a few refreshments. The show will be hanging until November 28th.
This is a continuation of all the other classes of "Animals in Watercolor". Pick up your brushes where you left off in previous classes, or start a new project. Open to all levels. This is a continuation of learning to select good subjects, draw them, pick a palette and end up with a painting that you love. Basics are taught that can apply to any subject and all levels are encouraged to try out the class. Call Dunedin Fine Arts Center to schedule.
This class will be a three hour class from 9-12 learning the color wheel, how to use a limited palette to mix beautiful luminous paint. We not be painting any subjects, but doing an number of exercises and small projects to learn what to do with those scary tubes of paint. This class will be a repeat of previous classes at Dunedin Fine Arts Center, continuing our goals for learning to choose great animal photos, cropping them, learning to draw, picking a limited palette and emphasizing values in our paintings. It is open to all levels.

The 29th Annual Cool Art Show will be held on the above dates at the gorgeous St. Pete Coliseum. As always, it is an indoor, air-conditioned show with free parking and free entrance and shows 75 diverse artists showing off their creations for you to see and hopefully buy!
